A sports car drifting through a rain-soaked cyberpunk city at night with neon reflections, the game awarded FWA Site of the Day

On October 3, 2026, Threejs-Punk was named Site of the Day on FWA.

What the FWA says about it #

The FWA case page describes it as a free-to-play racing game built with Three.js and WebGPU: a huge city, more than 50 missions, drifting through rainy streets, collectibles and multiple cars, with realistic rendering, physics, reflections and custom WebGPU techniques, on desktop and mobile.

Why this one means a lot #

It is a game, not a showcase page. It is free, it has no install, and I built it so that a phone in a browser tab could carry the whole city. Seeing a recognized digital-design award go to a game made with open web technology is the part I care about most.

It also belongs to a group of people. The game was co-created with Sunag, the creator of TSL, and it stands on the shoulders of the three.js community.

To celebrate: multiplayer for everyone #

The same day, the multiplayer mode became available to everybody. You can race with your friends from any browser, on mobile, desktop or tablet, for free. How it works is in the multiplayer post.
