Seat selection in 3D, with spatial audio, before you buy

A seat map is flat. It shows you rows and numbers, and it never tells you what the night will be like: how close the stage is, if a column is in the way, or how the room sounds. This project is a different answer, built with Three.js.

What it is #
It is a tool designed to sit between ticket buyers and venues, such as cinemas, theaters, schools and stadiums. Instead of a seat map, the buyer gets a half-immersive preview of the room:
- you step into the venue, an opera house in the demo,
- you pick a seat,
- you see the stage from that exact point of view, before you pay.
Sound as a layer of the preview #
The detail I like most is the spatial audio. Sound changes with distance, so you hear how the room behaves from the chosen seat, not only how it looks. A seat at the back sounds different from one at the front, and the preview says so.
Why it matters #
A clearer preview means a more confident purchase, and fewer surprises on the night. The project is a demonstration of how a venue's real geometry, with real-time reflections and camera views, can become part of the buying flow.
Try it #
The tool is live at vrseat.vercel.app, and the details are on the project page.
