Lantern Valley
Cozy adventure game for the browser · 2026 · Games, WebGPU, Experiments
Lantern Valley is a cozy miniature adventure for the browser with over 16 hours of gameplay between missions and side quests. Explore a tilt-shift valley of wind-swept grass, drifting autumn leaves and purple shadows where Tina, a young apprentice knight, hunts the Sparks that scattered before the Night of a Thousand Lights. Relight the Great Lanterns of every village and carry the flame back to the lighthouse, on desktop and mobile.
Swim across the lake, pet the dogs and cows, double-jump into a pirouette and fly on the helmet's little wings. Go fishing, plant a garden that grows while you sleep on a bench, cook by the campfire and mend a boat to sail through the mist to five islands. A full day and night cycle lights the village windows and wakes up Sparks that only appear after dark.
Under the hood: Three.js on WebGPU with an automatic WebGL2 fallback, TSL stylized lighting with SSAO, bloom and depth of field, over a hundred thousand grass blades, chibi characters driven by procedural animation and a quest engine behind the story — with dynamic resolution and a sharp upscaler to keep it smooth on phones.
