A Rolex-inspired watch with SSGI, SSR and the real time
· 1 min read · three.js, webgl, ssgi, product, launch
A watch is mostly metal and reflection, and those are exactly the things that fall apart in a quick render. This concept, a realistic Rolex-inspired watch for a fictional product launch, was built to see how far screen-space techniques can carry premium metals in the browser.

What carries the look #
- SSGI and SSR in real time for the depth and shine of the metals.
- A configurator to refine the piece while the materials keep their depth.
- Honest hands. The dial syncs to the user's local time, so every visit shows the real clock.
A launch concept #
Lighting, reflection and interaction carry the same weight as the product itself. It is a concept, not an official launch of any brand.
