A pair of designer eyeglasses with translucent colored acrylic frames rendered in 3D

Eyeglasses are a configurator problem with a twist: the two main materials are transparent, lenses of glass and frames of acrylic, and both depend on light more than on color. This product configurator was built to show them well.

The eyeglasses configurator

What it does #

You configure frames and lenses in real time, and you preview how the materials catch light. It is built in React Three Fiber and Three.js, with advanced glass and acrylic materials, and it is made for clear, interactive eyewear visualization.

For a newer approach to thick, refractive glass in WebGPU, see the glass material post.

The details of the project are on the project page, and the configurator is live at varai-glasses-configurator.vercel.app.
