A digital farm that makes sustainability playful

Institutional topics are hard to make interesting. Sustainability is one of the hardest: it is important, it is dense and it is easy to preach. This project was made for Dairy Farmers of Canada to show their advances on the road to net-zero by 2050, and it replaces an older section of their site that told the same story but felt dull to navigate.

A farm you walk through #
The experience is built fully in 3D with React Three Fiber and WebGL. It is bilingual and interactive: you explore the farm, discover practices and understand sustainability in a way that feels playful and not preachy.
The goal was simple: turn a dense institutional topic into something visitors actually want to explore.
Videos from the production #
I recorded the project while it was being built. There is an update video, a look at the flock of birds and the cornfield.

The experience is live at threejs-digital-farm.vercel.app, and the details are on the project page.
