This is not an official Canon release. It is a concept: a landing page for a Canon 5D Mark IV, made to show what Three.js can do for premium camera storytelling in the browser.

The camera hero render

What it shows #

  • studio lighting that makes the metal and the plastic read correctly,
  • glass reflections on the lens,
  • a hero product render that holds up when you look closely,

in other words, the kind of page that brands imagine for a hardware launch.

A milestone #

It was later featured on the Three.js homepage, which for me proved that concept work on the open web can sit next to production-grade showcases.
