This is not a transparent trick. It is **glass that remembers what sits behind it**, and lets light travel through like a living material.

Built for **React Three Fiber** and rendered with **WebGPU**, this Mesh Transmission Material treats refraction as something physical: thickness, color in the deep parts, rainbow edges, soft frost, and reflections on the surface while the world warps underneath.

Before each frame, the scene behind the glass is captured into a hidden backdrop — a quiet second camera pass — so every curve bends reality in a believable way. Turn on the backside pass and light travels through the volume with real thickness.

Dispersion splits light into spectral color along sharp edges. Soften the surface and the backdrop blurs into a milky glow. Open the Glass Config panel and sculpt the look live: IOR, thickness, dispersion, attenuation, clearcoat, iridescence, and more.
