On **January 11, 2026**, "3D WebGPU ArchiViz" received an **Awwwards Honorable Mention**.

## What it is

An immersive WebGPU architecture visualization with high-end realism, rich post-processing and unmatched performance, all under **6 MB**. It is built with Three.js and React Three Fiber, and it brings archviz-quality lighting and atmosphere to the browser without the weight that usually comes with it.

## Why it matters to me

It is the project that I took to the stage. In September 2026 I [talked about it at the first Three.js Conference](https://andersonmancini.dev/blog/three-js-conf-paris-2026.md): how to approach an ambitious WebGPU experience with a strict technical budget, using techniques from games such as [octahedral impostors](https://andersonmancini.dev/blog/octahedral-impostors.md) for large numbers of trees.

An honorable mention does not tell you how a thing was made, but it told me the budget idea was worth a conference talk. The project is on its [project page](https://andersonmancini.dev/projects/webgpu-archiviz.md), and the full list is in the [Awwwards timeline](https://andersonmancini.dev/blog/awwwards-honorable-mentions-timeline.md).
